Educators have the best job in the world! All of my adult life, I’ve been a teacher with different audiences. As a transformative leader, I believe in building relationships with all stakeholders to nurture student development and growth with high quality teaching and learning. Students spent most of their awake hours during the week at school. School environments should be warm, supportive, inviting, safe and conductive for optimal learning, student success and school pride. I strategically support all stakeholders to establish partnership of a shared vision as we champion student success.
Transformational
As a transformational leader I will have several leadership goals. I plan to create a clear principal vision of achievement (creating a strategic vision later with all stakeholders) including:
During the first quarter, my goal would be to learn more about my staff styles so as to gain a deeper understanding of them as individuals and to offer the best support and guidance possible.
Instruction & Assessment
Environment
Students and staff spend most of their day at school. School should be like a second home. A safe, family oriented, fun, learning environment. I am a strong advocate of rich learning atmosphere, strong and enjoyable climate & culture. When I was a teacher, people often told me they walked into classroom with or without students and easily detect warm atmosphere that cultivated a culture for learning. All students have strengths. They have something they are good at and that something should be celebrated. In the same vain, we all have areas in which need to grow. I challenge you to never stop learning, sharpen your skills and continuously find ways to improve your life. I promise you, as your Principal, every day when I step in the building that you, students, will always be my priority.

I believe in …
Teacher Development
All teachers have strengths and areas in which they need to grow. Key components include: love for children, seeing each student and their learning style as an individual, classroom management skills, planning (assessments & standards) and preparation, content expertise, adhering to professional responsibilities and ability to collaborate and communicate with all stakeholders.
Parent & Community Involvement
How will you keep all involved? Regular communication methods? Transparency? Approachableness (not a word, I know=P)?
